Creating Computer Graphics
Navigation Bars

Simple Navigation Bar
Here is an example of a simple navigation bar that I was considering using on every page of this website. Notice how use has been made of a table to control the layout.

Page 1 would link to unit 1, page 2 would link to unit 2 and the home page would link to, well, the home page!

So what do you think? Is it appropriate for the target auidence of this website? Is it suitable for the purpose? Is it a good combination of text and graphics? This might allow me to achieve a pass as I have used a table and have used some colour and is suitable for the purpose. To achieve a merit these graphics would have to use colour well (fit in with the house style of the website) and have appropriate text.

Complex navigation bar
I was also considering using a complex navigation bar on this website. Move your cursor over the graphic below to see it in action.

The example below shows how it is possible to change the position of the drop down menu. This time it is below the trigger (image). I have also changed the colour scheme and removed the border.

This final example shows the drop down menu position set to the top right of the trigger.

As I am using a drop down menu I am hitting the requirements of the distinction criteria.
